Thematic (vertical) priorities/domains of specialisation

Intelligent specialisation aims at a “smart, intelligent” use and development of the potential of the Czech Republic. The aim of the National RIS3 Strategy is to create long-term competitive advantages based on knowledge exploitation and innovation. The domains of research and innovation specialisation, which represent the main “vertical” thematic priorities of the National RIS3 Strategy, are built on the strengths of the Czech Republic and its specific capacities and resources in the economic, innovation and research fields. Within the domains of specialisation, the National RIS3 Strategy strives to connect opportunities brought by the economic background of the Czech Republic with research capacities and key technologies that represent major opportunities for a shift to higher value-added activities, a shift in value chains and the creation of specific market niches and segments.
